Collars have had a good run. Four hundred years, give or take. But collars come with obligations: pointing them the right way, keeping them from curling, choosing between tucked and the other thing. The collarless button-down asks nothing of you.
It is our casual button-down with a clean band collar instead of the fold-over kind. Same tailored fit, same Pima Enhanced fabric, same buttons down the front, so it still reads as a shirt in a meeting. It just skips the part of the shirt that needs the most supervision.
A few things it does well:
- Untucked. It was designed for it, so the hem sits where it should instead of where physics puts it.
- Under a blazer. No collar wrestling with a lapel.
- Sleeves rolled, top button open, standing near a grill you are not in charge of.
Short sleeve and long sleeve. Sizing matches every other shirt we make, so if you know your size in one, you know it here. Pre-orders ship late September.
